Mechanical Elevators
The mechanical elevator is composed of an electric motor, a speed reducer gearbox and a pulley mounted properly together on a base.
From the pulley passes a wire rope system, at one end of which is placed the cabin and at the other end the counterweight gear.
There are two categories of mechanical elevators, the single-rotated with one speed and the dual-rotated with two speeds.
The mechanical elevator systems are recommended for high-rise buildings where the demands for high speeds and heavy passenger traffic (hundreds of links / day) are a given.
In mechanical elevators there is also automatic evacuation.
For optimal operating results is advised the use of inverter (VVVF electronic speed-function controller) instead of 2-speed engines.
